Arginine

Arginine (L-arginine)

One of the amino acids that can be obtained from food, but is not sufficient for higher levels of physical activity, so supplementation is needed. Like most amino acids, this one is responsible for improving the level of performance and recovery after exercise. However, it also has more important functions, including the production of nitric oxide, supporting the immune system, dilating blood vessels, and increasing the growth potential of muscle. For a better effect, these supplements can be taken with protein supplements, creatine, or other amino acids such as BCAAs, EAAs, etc., which do not include arginine or include very small amounts. Arginine AKG (Arginine Alpha-ketoglutarate or AAKG) is popular among athletes. This supplement increases the production of nitric oxide in the muscles, which improves blood circulation and the delivery of oxygen to the muscles, which helps to deliver more nutrients. There is also a sensation of "PUMP" or muscle swelling.
