Citrulline
Citrulline – It is one of the amino acids produced by the body in small amounts and can be found in fruits such as watermelons and apples. It is responsible for protein synthesis, maintains blood circulation, and is responsible for the transport of amino acids to the muscles. Like many other amino acids, it increases performance levels and reduces fatigue and muscle soreness after a workout, but also contributes to the production of arginine. An additional, more important process, citrulline regulates the release of nitrogen dioxide, which leads to better oxygen uptake during exercise.
